Opus Anglicanum present their much-loved programme, celebrating the solace and beauty of gardens.
Pairing English folksong (Sweet Lavender) with Renaissance polyphony (Palestrina Dilectus meus, from the Song of Songs), framing words about gardens by this likes of Francis Bacon, George Herbert and Andrew Marvell read by Zeb Soanes (presenter of Smooth Classics at Seven on Classic FM).
The venue is the Church of St Andrew & St Mary in Grantchester and the concert is being presented in association with Grape Britannia, of Cambridge - www.grapebritannia.org.uk.
There will be a glass of local wine on entry, with more for sale at the interval.
