The Federation of Children’s Book Groups began in the 1960s, driven by a desire from parents to learn more about children’s books and to encourage their children to read.

2018 is the FCBG’s Golden Anniversary.

Conference will take place during the weekend of 13th-15th April at Queenswood School in Hertfordshire.

Confirmed speakers include Lauren Child, Michael Morpurgo, Zeb Soanes, James Mayhew, Jackie Morris, Jacqueline Wilson, Justin Somper, Sarah Crossan, Katherine Woodfine, Robin Stevens, Meg McLaren and Heather Crossley. The logo has been designed by Nick Sharratt.
